Xtra Time Web Desk : Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) is likely to ask out of favour Team India wicket-keeper-batter Wriddhiman Saha over his recent comments on matters of team selection which included board President Sourav Ganguly and head coach Rahul Dravid.

The 37 year old is said to have breached laws as clause 6.3 of the BCCI central contract for the players says, “Player shall not make any comments about the game, officials, incidents that happened in the game, use of technology, selection matters or any other matter related to the game which is in opinion of the BCCI is adverse to and /or not in the interest of the game, team or BCCI in any media.”

Yes, there is a possibility that BCCI could ask Wriddhiman as to how he spoke on selection matters being a centrally contracted cricketer. As far as the president is concerned, he had tried to motivate him. The board might like to know what made him go public with his dressing room conversations with coach Dravid,” said BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal to PTI in an interview on Thursday.

Earlier, the veteran wicketkeeper made comments over Sourav Ganguly assuring him of a place in the Test team after he was dropped from the squad for the upcoming Sri Lanka series. Apart from that, Saha in his comments also stated about how Rahul Dravid tried to convince him to ‘retire’ from cricket.

Now, with the tricky situation between Saha and BCCI taking twists, it would be intriguing to see how the matter turns out to be in future.
