Xtra Time Web Desk : FC Barcelona’s young start Ansu Fati on Thursday suffered yet another injury during their 3-2 defeat against Athletic Bilbao in the last 16 of the Copa Del Rey.
The young Spain forward was held as one of the major catalysts for turning on the season for Barca this year. But Ansu’s injury in the against Bilbao would now give the club severe headaches as the team looks to make a top 4 finish in this season’s la liga. Also, considering the importance of the Europa League clash against Napoli next month, Fati’s injury could prove costly for the Catalunyan Club.
“Ansu Fati has a left thigh injury. Further tests are pending to find out the exact extent of the injury,” said Barcelona in a statement.
Ansu Fati returned to the football field after being out for two months, courtesy of an injury. Earlier, he was also out of action for 10 months after a severe hamstring blow, only to make his come back in September, 2021.
