Internet Desk : Novak Djokovic shrugged off a tough challenge from Roger Federer to advance to the final of the Australian Open. The Serb defeated Federer 6-1, 6-2, 3-6 and 6-3 en-route to the final.

Djokovic completely outclassed Federer in the first two sets. Federer didn’t get a chance as the world noumber one wrapped both the sets in just 54 minutes. Federer fought back in the third set with some excellent tennis which saw the Swiss legend play some brilliant forehand returns. Novak made his first double fault of the match in the third set. Federer eventually took the set 6-3.

In a very tense fourth set Djoker took a 2-1 lead. In the eighth game Djokovic broke the swiss and then served to take the set 6-3. The world  number one is just a match away from a  record  sixth title and will face either Andy Murray or Milas Raonic.

Djokovic now leads Federer 23-22 in a head to head record. The final will be played on Sunday at the Rod Laver Arena.
