Xtra Time Web Desk: New Zealand left arm spinner Ajaz Patel has decided to auction his perfect 10 jersey for a charity to build a hospital. The amount raised on TradeMe will be donated to New Zealand’s national children’s hospital’s department of Starship Radiology. Ajaz’s special jersey has the autographs of all members of BlackCaps test squad and framed with match scorecard.

“My wife and I spent a couple of days in Starship Hospital with our daughter last year,” Patel said as quoted by Stuff.

“It was a worrying time, but I realised how lucky we were to only need a short stay. Starship was amazing to us, and we wanted to give back … this is one way we can do that,” he added.

Ajaz Patel had worn the jersey against India during the second test match at Wankhede Stadium, when he took 10 wickets against India. He became only the third cricketer in history after England’s Jim Laker & India’s Anil Kumble to take 10-wicket in an innings in a test match.
