Kolkata: Mohun Bagan  coach Sanjoy Sen’s comments against AIFF after Tampine Rovers match in AFC Champions League qualifier  has put him in trouble. Sanjoy Sen expressed  his frustration by  lashing  at the AIFF . The Bagan coach made derogatory  remarks  against the AIFF officials stating  the parent body  being  sold to a particular company or group.

The Bagan coach  has  been asked to reply within 7 days to the disciplinary committee. The AIFF disciplinary committee will convey his reply  to the AIFF who will take a final call . Sources revealed that if the answer is not satisfactory ,  last year’s best coach in I-League may be banned for 3 matches or else have to pay a hefty fine of Rs.5,00,000.

Mohun Bagan assistant secretary Srinjoy Basu  seemed to be in no hurry ,” I am out of town right now. Let me get the letter in hand and then I will speak to Sanjoy Sen and other officials before deciding what will be our next course of action . We have seven days to decide and and are in no hurry at the moment .  It just takes 30 seconds to send a mail.”

Meanwhile Mohun Bagan team reached Kolkata from China via Hyderabad early morning at 8a.m. after a disastrous outing  against Shandong Luneng FC . The Mariners were thrashed 0-6 . After a long  journey for almost 20-22 hours the players looked  physically and mentally tired .

Mohun Bagan players  are scheduled to attend a gym session tomorrow morning . The players  are still in a awe about the mauling it received at the hands  of  Shandong . According to Kinshuk Debnath ,“Shandong  were a far  more  superior  team than  us  . It  was  always  going  to  be a difficult task  for  us , specially  after  having  just  one  training session in such chilly  condition . On the match day the temperature was moving around 5 degrees and  it  was  getting  extremely  difficult  to  hold the ball . In the second half our body became stiff and we could not match their pace. But this loss won’t affect our run in the I-league. Most importantly our players will get the much needed rest before the vital Mumbai FC match.”

Custodian Debjit Majumder feels ,” I was very sad after conceding 6 goals. I could not believe myself. I kept myself locked in the hotel room. But my coach and players supported me through out.” On asking him that being the Best Goalkeeper in the last I-league how does it feel after conceding 6 goals? Debjit replied ,” It was a great learning experience for me to be up against a quality attack . I would want to forget  the bitter experience and concentrate on my game . My aim is to continue the good form in the I-league and prepare myself for the forthcoming AFC cup where I  would  want  to  leave  a mark .”
