CFL 2018: Mohammedan Sporting comes back into the winning ways, thrash Patha Chakra

Mohammedan Sporting comes back into the winning ways with a convincing victory over Patha Chakra by 3-0 on Monday in the Calcutta Football League. Tonmoy Ghosh, Emeka and Dipendu Dowary were there on the score-sheet.




Mohammedan took the lead through a penalty in the 47th minute after Lalkamal Bhowmick’s handball on the goal-line. Tanmoy made no mistake to find the back of the net.




The Black Panthers continued to put pressure and doubled their lead in the 74th minute when Emeka Princewell scored a fine goal to make it 2-0 in favour of Raghu Nandi’s team.

Dipendu Dowary put the final nail in the coffin in the 81st minute when dribbled passed two players and fired a great strike to make it 3-0.

The win will no doubt give the Black and White brigade the much needed confidence ahead of their next game.
