Internet Desk : Aizawl FC have sacked their coach Manuel Retamero Fraile after only six matches in the ongoing I-league. In spite of promising match stats in all the six matches – the debutants have conceded 9 goals while scoring only 4 . In view of the game plan and strategy vis-à-vis the players , the club management have decided to terminate his contract with immediate effect . Jahar Das , an experienced coach and AFC “A” License holder , presently working as Head of Youth Development Programme will take charge of the senior team .
According to club secretary who is now in Kolkata along with AFC U’18 team said ,“ the decision to terminate the service of Manuel Ratamero Fraile was taken after thorough assessment and scrutiny of his performance . The club also give due importance in team spirit and teamwork . We have high expectation from the new team in this aspect . We are thankful to Manuel and wish him all the best in his career ”
Jahar Das have accepted the challenge to coach the Aizawl FC senior team , “I got an offer from the club and I decided to accept it. My first challenge would be to survive in the I-League. Although I have been working with the academy I am aware of the senior team. The team is very well balanced. I will give my hundred percent and will try to garner maximum points from the remaining matches” The veteran coach said over the phone .
Jahar will make his debut as coach of the senior team in the North-East derby against Shillong Lajong.
