XtraTime Web Desk: Afghanistan’s young sensation Mujeeb Ur Rahman is the newest spin sensation of World cricket. The young fellow becomes the youngest lad to play in IPL when he made his debut for Kings XI Punjab against Delhi Daredevils today. He not only debuted today but showed why he is a power house of spin in world cricket just like his compatriot Rashid Khan by picking two crucial wickets of Delhi. He took the wicket of destructive Kiwi opener Colin Munro (4) and young Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant (28). At the end of four overs his stat was 2 for 28.

In his international career he has played 15 ODIs for the nation where he took 35 wickets with an average of 16.62. Due to his brilliant performance in the international circuit Kings XI Punjab picked him with a whooping amount of 4 crore from the auction.

In the opening encounter between Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Daredevils, Mujheeb became the youngest cricketer ever to take part in the cash rich league. The young lad made his debut today at the age of 17 years and 11 days. Before him it was India’s Sarfaraz Khan who had this record when he made his debut at 17 yr and 177 days, back in 2015.

This is not the lone record of Mujheeb. He was the very first player of the 21st century to play in ODIs. He made his debut against Ireland and picked four wickets as well.
