Internet Desk: The love for the game of football is spreading all around the country. A boy from the fourth standard, Chandan Boro from North Harisinga LP School in the district of Udalgiri has managed to win the selections for a six-year football training course in Bittburg, Germany at TSG 1889 Hoffenheim.

This selection was organised by the Tata Trust  in the month of June, 2016 at Kokrajhar under the Football Development programme which is in partnership with U Sports Mumbai and Germany for selection of U-15 budding talents in the football world. The Center for Microfinance and Livelihood (CML) an associate of Tata Trust on July 7 vide a letter to the father of Chandan Boro and has confirmed his selection to Germany.

Football Coach Samual Basumatary as per message from the Sports & Youth Welfare Department of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) took Chandan Boro along with five other budding talents from Harisinga to SAG SAI complex at Kokrajhar on June 16 last to appear in a selection camp. In the selection camp, Chandan Boro was successful in proving football skills before the officials and got selected for the training.

The rare achievement of little village boy, Chandan Boro has created tremendous joy and enthusiasm among local football lovers particularly the younger ones at the region.
