Internet Desk: Board of Control for Cricket in India during their process of searching for bowling coach kept former pacer Zaheer Khan as one of the first choice. Unaware of this fact Zaheer also welcomed a thpought like this.
Indian team has just started their venture with a new set of leaders along with the coach and captain. Till now the post of the Indian bowling coach is vacant as Bharath Arun’s contract has not been renewed.
Presently playing the role of the coach of the IPL team Delhi Daredevils, Zaheer is much focussed on his challenges. Being a bowler whether it is a tough task to manage a full team is not a matter for Zaheer.
“I am right now focused on what I have on my plate. I am really focusing my energies on playing the next IPL season for Delhi Daredevils, and also on ProSport – a sports and fitness clinic”, said Zaheer.
Zaheer is the second successful fast bowler of India after Kapil Dev. He took 311 test wickets in 92matches. He played 200ODI matches before bidding adieu taking 282 wickets.
Regarding the selection of Indian bowling coach he said, “…I am open to different roles and haven’t thought about it. However, if an opportunity arises, I will think about it.”
