Xtra Time Web Desk: All rounder Ravindra Jadeja, Shubman Gill and Ajinkya Rahane attended their first training session with the rest of the Indian test squad in UK on Thursday ahead of the upcoming ICC World Test Championship Final. All the three joined the Indian squad on Wednesday as they were recently involved in the IPL 2023 Final. Mohammed Shami was the last Indian cricketer to join the squad in UK.

The Indian team has been camping in Sussex for the last few days. The likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara were seen having a decent batting session. Umesh Yadav and Shardul Thakur looks to have completely recovered from their injuries as the duo were seen steaming in the practice sessions.

KS Bharath and Ishan Kishan are both seen training hard. The focus apart from batting and bowling has been on fielding especially slip catching. Fielding coach TP Dileep is working overtime to see there are no lapses on the field during the WTC Final.

The Indian team management will be heavily relying on Cheteshwar Pujara and Shubman Gill. Pujara had an impressive stint with Sussex in County Championships Division 2 games. Shubman Gill was in scintillating form in the IPL 2023, scoring 890 runs at an average of almost 60 including two hundreds.

Left arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat, coming back after an injury was engaged in a long discussion with head coach Rahul Dravid and bowling coach Paras Mhambrey.

The much-anticipated World Test Championship Final against Australia will take place at the Oval starting from June 7-11.
