WTC Final 2023: Big boost for Australia as Josh Hazzlewood included in 15-member squad

Xtra Time Web Desk: In what comes as a huge boost for the Australian cricket team, star pacer Josh Hazzlewood is declared fit by the National Selection Panel. The Aussie fast bowler has been named in Australian test squad for the upcoming ICC World Test Championship Final 2023. Australia have submitted their final 15-man squad, according to the International Cricket Council (ICC).

The 32-year-old replaces all-rounder Mitch Marsh and bater Matthew Renshaw, who were part of the original group, as the team’s specialist fast bowler, joining captain Pat Cummins, Scott Boland, and Mitchell Starc.

Opener David Warner is also declared fit and is included in the 15-member squad. The Australia test squad is currently undergoing a camp in Gabba, Brisbane ahead of travelling to UK for English summer. The Aussies will travel to London on June 3. Pat Cummins & co will have their first training session at the Oval in London on June 4.
