BCCI joint secretary Amitabh Chaudhary was barred to convene the selection meeting, while the selectors dropped Parthiv Patel from the test squad that played against England. It also paved the way for Bengal stumper Wriddhiman Saha to make a comeback in the test side. Mukund last played a test for the country against England in July 2011 against England at Nottingham. Delhi openers Shikhar Dhawan and Gautam Gambhir missed out. The squad has no other changes from the one that played in the recently concluded series against England. The selectors also picked the squad for the India A team that will take on the visiting Australian team. Within 24 hours of their appointment, Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators started to act. The chief of the committee Mr Vinod Rai on Tuesday barred BCCI joint secretary Amitabh Choudhary from convening the selection committee meeting. Mr Chaudhary was found ineligible to convene the selection committee meeting to select the test squad for the one off test match against Bangladesh. The meeting which was supposed to be held at 12 noon was delayed by four hours as Chaudhary, who was present at the hotel in Delhi, was not allowed as per chief of Committee of Administrators Vinod Rai's instruction.
