Internet Desk: The search for the new coach of the Indian team will be culminating today as the  Cricket Advisory Committee have started their interview with the applicants at the Cricket Centre in Mumbai.

Two members of the three-member Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) comprising Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman are now in Mumbai while Sachin Tendulkar will join the interview from London over skype.

Sourav has made it clear that the announcement about the new coach will be made today.

It is learnt that the CAC will be interviewing seven applicants on Monday. They include Ravi Shastri, Virender Sehwag, Tom Moody, Phil Simmons, Richard Pybus and Lalchand Rajput with former South Africa international Lance Klusener, kept on stand-by.

Ravi Shastri and Virender Sehwag and Australian Tom Moody are the front-runners for the job. Shastri, who had earlier served as the Team Director for the Indian cricket team before Anil Kumble is tipped to be the top contender for the job. While the former India spinner will have tough competition from Virender Sehwag.

Former coach Kumble had stepped down amid controversial circumstances after a widely-speculated feud with Kohli, marking a bitter end to a highly successful tenure. Kumble's decision comes in the wake of reports claiming rifts between him and Kohli, and just two days after India's embarrassing loss to Pakistan in the Champions Trophy final.
