Image Source: XtraTime[/caption] Debasis Sen, London: A dirty politics is going on involving the appointment of the coach of the India team. A tussle is increasing between a section of the BCCI officials and the Supreme Court appointed CoA members. With Virender Sehwag applying for the post of coach, the Committee of Administrators has influenced Anil Kumble to ‘officially’ forward his application for the job of Indian cricket team coach, according to reports. Mr Vinod Rai, the chairman of the CoA has questioned why Kumble would not continue for the post, given his success with the team in the past one year. Accordingly, Kumble has forwarded a detailed road-map illustrating his vision for the Indian cricket team’s future. With Virat Kohli expressing his reservations over Kumble’s  “intimidating” style of coaching, it will be interesting to see whether the leg spinner can continue with his job. As per sources skipper Kohli wants Sehwag as the new coach. Even though Sehwag refused at first, a section of the board convinced him to apply. The former opener did question why Kumble should not continue. He wanted to make it clear that there are no dirty games involved in the coach appointment. But unfortunately reports came out that Sehwag’s application consisted of two lines. Actually Sehwag wanted to know about the process for the application of the post. Sehwag in his mail to BCCI CEO claimed that he is the mentor and coach of KXIP. He also wrote that having played along with some of the few players in this current team, he wanted to be the coach. It has been wrongly circulated that Sehwag has written only two lines. The former opener did apply a second time with his detailed CV. Anil Kumble and five other candidates -- Virender Sehwag, Tom Moody, Richard Pybus, Lalchand Rajput, and Dodda Ganesh were shortlisted by the BCCI and will be interviewed by the three-member cricket advisory committee (CAC) of the board. The CAC -- that comprises of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman -- is likely to meet in the next couple of days here in London to finalise the interview schedule as the BCCI is keen to appoint a new coach before the ICC Champions Trophy ends.
