Image Source: Xtra Time[/caption] Debasis Sen, Birmingham: Former India captain Sourav Ganguly on Friday refuted charges of conflict of interest labelled against him by Ramchandra Guha. Ganguly, who is here to do commentary for the ICC Champions Trophy said he has been appointed by ICC to do commentary for the ensuing tournament and not by Board of Control for India (BCCI). The former India captain also denied reports that he met the India captain Virat Kohli and coach Anil Kumble. According to Ganguly, “I have not met Kumble or Kohli and discussed with them about anything.” In fact the left hander is staying in Le Tour hotel in Birmingham while the Indian team is staying at the Hyatt hotel. Noted historian and one of the three members of the Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators on Thursday opened a pandora's box in his resignation letter to the COA. Guha spared no one and even questioned skipper Kohli's role in selection of coach, besides alleging conflict of interest on part of Sunil Gavaskar, Sourav Ganguly, and Rahul Dravid. In his letter to COA, Guha alleged Ganguly about conflict of interest. "Conflict of interest is rampant in the State Associations as well. One famous former cricketer is contracted by media houses to comment on active players while serving as President of his State Association (read Ganguly)", wrote Ramachandra in his letter.
