Image Source: Facebook[/caption] Internet Desk: The Hero Federation Cup 2017 to get underway on Sunday at Cuttack as Kingfisher East Bengal to face Derrick Pereira's Churchill Brothers in the opening game. In the last meeting between these two teams saw the Goan club to have the last laugh at Barasat in the I-League and Manoranjan Bhattacharya and Ranjan Chowdhury's new look East Bengal would be trying to do their best to have a winning start against the likes of Kromah and Brandon Fernandez at the Barabati Stadium in Odisha. The Reds and Gold brigade surrendered a blossoming title challenge, with some disappointing results in the last phase. Therefore, they will look to capture the Federation Cup to break their jinx of not winning a national level trophy in the last few years. As for the Churchill side, they will aim to extend their consistency under the reign of their Goan gaffer who saved them from the doors of relegation quite convincingly. East Bengal have a fully fit squad but Chris Payne and Jackichand Singh are not a part of the team which will be performing in Cuttack. The Australian striker has been released by the club whereas the 25-year-old Manipuri has not travelled with the squad. Subashish Roy Chowdhury, who kept a clean sheet in the Kolkata outfit's last tie against the Mumbaikars, will continue serving between the sticks. The 2012 Federation Cup winners will opt for a 4-2-3-1 shape which will see Mehtab Hossain and Rowllin Borges play the roles of holding midfielders whereas the lethal Willis Plaza will be the lone striker. As for Churchill Brothers, they have just one injury concern in Anthony Wolfe. The Trinidadian is carrying a niggle and his inclusion remains doubtful. The 55 year-old former Pune FC coach is likely to go ahead with a full strength squad which means Keenan Almeida, Adil Khan, Rowilson Rodrigues and Seriton Fernandes will form the back four. Brandon Fernandes and Chesterpoul Lyngdoh will continue to operate on the wings in what could be a 4-4-1-1 formation chosen by the 55-year-old Derrick Pereira.
