Image Source : Xtra Time[/caption]   Kolkata : ISL franchise Atletico de Kolkata started it’s grass root development programme today at the Bidhanagar Municipal Sports Complex . The response on the first day was quite promising with as many as 250 kids coming for the trials . The franchise have plans to hold such trials till March . There will be 18 trials organized all over Kolkata and suburbs . Out of these trials , 300 candidates will be shortlisted . The shortlisted candidates will be called for another trial held in Kolkata and North Bengal during the month of April . A total of  30 talented kids under the age group of  12 -14 years will be selected . The selected kids will be trained at the residential academy . According to Atletico de Kolkata secretary Subrata Talukdar ,“  We are planning  to have 18 grass root festivals in Kolkata and suburbs . We have plans to spread the trials all over Bengal including places like Kalimpong , Jalpaiguri and Siliguri . Almost 3600 kids from all over Bengal will be participating in the trials . Out of which only 30 selected candidates will be picked . They will be kept at a residential academy . The proposed residential academy will be finished by June this year . Image Source : Xtra Time[/caption]   The academy will have 6 coaches headed by assistant coach of Atletico de Kolkata senior team Bastab Roy . The franchise have also appointed Brazilian coach Edmar . The franchise have plans to distribute coaching manuals to all the coaches where trials will be held with an objective of having an integrated coaching sytem in place .
