Image Source: twitter[/caption] Kolkata: East Bengal’s drama in finding the replacement after the resignation of British coach Trevor James Morgan seems like continues. Last night, the most successful coach in the history of the I-League Armando Colaco confirmed that he would be their next coach for the remaining part of the season as well for the upcoming one. But it heard that the Goan coach refused the offer at mid night for some unavoidable reasons and East Bengal have started talking to Santosh Trophy winning Bengal coach Mridul Banerjee. In an interaction with www.xtratime.in , the highly experienced Goan coach said, “Yes, I’m coming to start my new innings in East Bengal. It is true.” He added, “I will be arriving on the day after tomorrow to take up this new challenge. I love to take fresh challenges and it is a good news for me as well.” Armando Colaco told that he would have his second innings at the Kolkata giant as he was the coach previously as well. He first came as the Red and Gold boss back on 20th November, 2013 and for some unexpected trouble with his players, he had to leave his job on 18th February 2015. His strategy was also received strict criticisms along with the “home sickness” he had. Though he didn’t want to say the duration of his contract as he said, “Be patient. Let me come to the city on tomorrow or the day after and then I will answer whatever queries you have about me.” Previously, when he was the coach of East Bengal, out of 31 games, he won 13 games including the Calcutta Football League title, he lost 7 games and drew 11 times. Though at mid-night it was heard that the Goan coach dramatically snubbed the offer and East Bengal started negotiating terms with the Santosh Trophy winning Bengal coach Mridul Banerjee as a stop gap coach. It is learnt that former East Bengal legend Manoranjan Bhattacharya, Bhaskar Ganguly and Tushar Rakshit will continue the training before the next coach arrives. Rahenesh TP is returning to the squad for the last two I-League matches. He will train with the team but the coach will decide whether Rahenesh would play in those games. On the other hand East Bengal will appeal to the AIFF to reduce Willis Plaza’s Punishment.
