Internet Desk: Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Rider’s swashbuckling Australian opener Chris Lynn has seriously injured his shoulder and looks in serious doubt to participate for the rest of the tournament. The Aussie batsman suffered a shoulder injury while fielding in the game against Mumbai Indians last night at the Wankhede Stadium.

The speculation has increased further after the Knight Rider’s opener tweeted, “Dear Cricket Gods, did I do something wrong?”

To make matters worse for KKR, Lynn has suffered the injury to the same shoulder for a third time in less than two years.

Lynn had dislocated his left shoulder in Sri Lanka last year after previously doing so in 2015. He had also undergone surgery on the same shoulder in 2014.

The fall was so bad that he immediately called for physio Andrew Leipus and started rolling on the ground, even though the ball was still in play. It finally took Yusuf Pathan to come and retrieve the ball.

Speaking about Lynn, Gambhir had said: "I have no update on Lynn, haven't heard from the physio yet."

There is no official communication from the franchise about Lynn’s injury yet.

The Aussie batsman is currently the holder of Orange Cap with 125 runs from two matches. He struck a 24 ball 32 runs in the match against Mumbai last night. He started the tournament with a bang scoring an unbeaten 93 runs to take KKR home in the first match against Gujarat Lions.

It will definitely be a huge blow to the title aspirations of the two time champions who had already lost Andre Russell.

As per the latest update, Chris Lynn has undergone an MRI scan on his left-shoulder. Reports are awaited. We will get to know in a day or two.
