Image Source: XtraTime[/caption] Internet Desk: Indian captain Virat Kohli seems to be going through a rough time, both off and on the field. Kohli is having a rough tie with the bat. The Indian captain has so far scored a paltry 46 runs in 5 innings, which is very much unlike him. He came into the series with the form of his life, scoring runs against all opposition. But suddenly the Indian captain seems to have lost the Midas touch, as he looked completely out of sorts against the Australian bowling attack. The dismissal today was uncalled for as he was caught by Smith at slips off the bowling of Cummins for 6. He tried to drive forward to a Pat Cummins delivery, but got a thick outside edge which flew to his counterpart Steve Smith at second slip, as he clung on to it. There was hardly any foot movement by Kohli.  With that, Kohli has scored just 46 runs in five innings at a miserable average of 9.20. But the reaction from the Australian captain sure must have added salt to the wound. Smith was seen holding his shoulder as an act of mockery to the Indian captain. Ever since Kohli went in to bat, the Aussies were looking to get into his minds. It actually started a ball prior to Kohli’s dismissal. Cheteshwar Pujara played for three runs, Glenn Maxwell jokingly mocked the Kohli injury as well. Played into the same region as that which brought about the Kohli injury, Maxwell fielded and landed on his shoulder. Thankfully, the Aussie making a comeback had no injury concerns to deal with.

Kohli and Smith are not exactly on perfect terms after the DRS controversy marring the latter stages of the second Test which India won. Thereafter, Kohli had stopped short of calling Smith a ‘cheat’ and the controversy was cleared away from the pitch with both cricket boards deciding not to press the matter any further.
