Image Source: XtraTime[/caption] Internet Desk: The Bengal cricket team bounces back well after a commanding start by Delhi in the final of the Under 19 Cooch Behar Trophy at the Feroz Shah Kotla ground in New Delhi on Thursday. Delhi top order laid a solid Foundation of a mammoth score as openers AR Kaushik(46) and Manjot Kalra(53) chipped in with vital contributions. Youngster Anuj Rawat was the highest scorer for the Capital city as he put up a resilient 77 of 152 balls. However, Bengal curbed the Foundation and they came back well, as the trio of Ishan Porel, Rajarshi Mitra and Akash Pandey notched up two wickets each to restrict Delhi at 246/6 at the end of day one. Bengal coach Pranab Nandi expressed his displeasure over the Kotla wicket as he labelled the pitch as 'flat' and 'too much batting friendly'. He said "Although our ace pace bowler Kaniska Seth went wicketless today, however I am pleased with the effort my boys have put off. Our plan is to get them out as early as possible, by not conceding more than 30/40 runs". When asked about the team's chances of getting a lead in the first innings, he said "Even if they put up 350, we have score 351 to achieve the lead so having faith in our potential and trying to get them as early as we can tomorrow is the key".
