KotlaNew Delhi , December 21 : BCCI is expected to hold a meeting on December 24  to decide on the fate of  Kotla hosting the ICC World T20 matches  following a deadline  issued  by Delhi High Court to get  clearance on Feroz Shah Kotla  Stadium for hosting ICC World T20. DDCA was earlier allowed to host the fourth and final test between India and South Africa by a bench consisting of Justices BD Ahmed and Sanjeev Sachdeva on the condition that no other tournament could be played further without a completion certificate from South Delhi Municipal Corporation . Justice Mukul Mudgal  was appointed to supervise the proceedings. DDCA officials  are also fighting a case against the Delhi Government regarding payment of taxes. Earlier Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has called for DDCA head Arun Jaitley’s resignation alleging that the Cabinet Minister is involved in a huge scam. Former cricketer Kirti Azad  has also raised his voice against the financial irregularities. MV Sridhar, the World T20 tournament Diorector has aleady done recce of the venues and will be submitting his report on Tuesday. The Delhi High Court  have  ordered  the DDCA  to obtain  a provisional occupancy certificate from SDMA . They have asked the SDMA for giving them the provisional occupancy certificate. SDMC counsel Gaurant Kant revealed that DDCA had earlier acquired interim relief for 13 times in the past but did not make any effort to get the requisite certificate. The court has said that they would not alter their judgement. DDCA have now applied for the completion certificate to South Delhi Municipal Corporation and are hopeful of receiving the certificate before the deadline. The clearances need to be acquired from the Archaeological Survey of India and Delhi Urban Arts Commission. They also have to acquired a NOC(no objection certificate) from  the Land and Development Office. Kotla is scheduled to host four matches including the semi-final of the  T20 World Cup . The ICC T20 is starting from 8th March. If Kotla fails to get the necessary certificate its going to be tough for BCCI to accommodate these matches to another venue.
