Pune to host the first test in India-Australia series

File Pic.[/caption] Internet Desk: Pune has been chosen as the venue for the first test during the four match test series between India and Australia which begins from February 23 next year. The other test matches will be held at Bengaluru (March 04-08) , Ranchi (March 16-20) and Dharamsala (March 25-29). In fact Pune, Ranchi and Dharamsala will be hosting a test match for the first time. All the three centres were accorded test status last November and are incidentally the home turfs of BCCI president Anurag Thakur, Secretary Ajay Shirke and joint-secretary Amitabh Choudhary respectively. The allocation of test matches to new centres is aimed at restoring the rotation policy for Tests.
