They both are India’s one of the greatest match winners and love to toil with the foreign batsman, who couldn’t understand the mystery of the Sub-continent pitches. Former Indian Captain Anil Kumble finished his career with 619 Test wickets in his kitty, where as Ravichandran Ashwin became second fastest bowler to take 200 wickets in the longest format of the game. Since Kumble joined the team as coach,  Ashwin has become more consistent with his bowling as he took 22 wickets in test cricket, among them one test match was washed out after only the 22nd over of the game. The numbers have shown phenomenal figures, as the 30-year-old off-spinner has been sensational for the last three years in the longer verison of the game. It is clear to all that Ashwin has obviously enjoyed himself in the company of his new coach. Kumble was regarded as the master in the art in spin, as he deceived the batsman and left them in two minds as they couldn’t understand how to face him. Even the best players of spin were never very sure against him after spending hours at the crease. Ashwin, under the coaching of India’s greatest spinner , has become stronger than ever as he sharpened his skills and variation. He thinks Kumble’s appointment as coach was divine for him as he has learnt a lot of things under Kumble’s  coaching. In the post match press conference after the match  Ashwin said,“ My partnership with Kumble is a match made in heaven. He comes down and gives me more options that I can actually execute, so that is something I am really enjoying.” Ashwin also steers his partner Ravindra Jadeja with a little help from Kumble via him, he added, “ The communication channel is pretty clear. We don’t feed a lot of information to Jaddu before a Test. Whatever Anil has to say to him, he tells me , I pass that information on to him in the field.” Ashwin battled with a pain on his second finger to finish with yet another 10 wickets in a test match. After the match, Ashwin said if the pain didn’t heal in next three days, it would be difficult for him to bowl in the second Test at the Eden Gardens, which will start on September 30.
