Saurav started the match with lots of confidence. he won the first set. but performance fell from the second set. he lost two consecutive sets to fight back in fourth set. He will play his quarterfinal match against sixth seed Karim Abdel Gawad of Egypt. Apart from him Joshna Chinappa entered the quarterfinals with a 8-11, 11-8, 11-4, 11-7 win over Heba Ei Torky of Egypt. The fifth seed from India will face top seed Laura Massaro of England in quarterfinals. However, another Indian Dipika Karthik failed to qualify for the quarterfinals.
