It was such a splendid match Sania played that it seemed that the opponents were very easy. After the first round match in the quarterfinal also Sania pairing with Romanian Monica, earned an easy win. They won the match by 6-1 6-4 against Coratia and Australian pair of Darija Jurak and Anastasia Rodionova. Now they are one match away from winning the Connecticut Open. In the semi-final they will face the Slovenian pair of Andreja Klepač and Katarina Srebotnik. They upset the top seeds Lukasz Kubot and Nenad Zimonjic. The Poland -Serbian pair were defeated by the Indo-German pair very easily. the result was 6-4 6-4. There is also a good news for India from tennis court. Davis Cupper team member Saketh Myneni also advanced in the US Open qualifying men's singles. Saketh beat USA singles player Mitchell Krueger by 7-6 (6) 6-4. Saketh, ranked 143rd in the ATP chart, now has a chance to play in the singles main draw of a Grand Slam for the first time in his career as he faces Pedja Krstin from Serbia in the third round. A win in this match he will reach the Grand Slam.
