Convenor of Nepal’s Olympics Preparation Committee Nilendra Raj Shrestha posted on his Facebook page on Saturday that he had received an email from Ian Chadband, a renowned sport journalist and former Sports Chief Correspondent at The Daily Telegraph, with a hint that the swimmer could be the youngest participant of the latest edition of world’s largest sports event. The Games would begin in Rio of Brazil on August 5 and the Nepali team left for the event on Sunday. Singh had won four medals in the 12th South Asian Games for Nepal. She was also the youngest member of the team representing Nepal in the latest SAG organised in India. She has earned various national records in different swimming categories over past few years.
