Football fan Alip loses battle against cancer

Image Source: Xtra Time[/caption] Kolkata: One of the most diehard fan of East Bengal club, Alip Chakraborty today lost his lone battle with cancer in a city hospital. The 46 year old Alip succumbed to death at 2:45pm local time. He is survived by his wife Juhi Chakraborty and 6 year old son Rinesh. Alip was diagnosed with tongue cancer in November last year. The news came as a shock to the fans of both East Bengal and Mohun Bagan club as Alip was very close to the heart. His family members, friends and relatives gathered at the hospital to mourn his death. There were a few officials of East Bengal club as well. His body was later taken to the East Bengal club for paying a last tribute.
