Image Source: Xtra Time[/caption] Internet Desk: Kolkata Knight Riders suffered a blow ahead of their tie against Kings XI Punjab in IPL 9. The burly Australian and New South Wales pacer John Hastings will be missing the remainder of the IPL season due to an ankle injury. The KKR management has asked for a replacement from the Governing Council. The 30-year-old  Hastings made a good impact in the IPL in his first match against Delhi Daredevils. He took two wickets for six runs but went wicket less in his next match against Mumbai Indians. Hastings has flown back to Australia to get his treatment done. Hastings hurt his ankle before the KKR-Mumbai Indians match in Kolkata on April 13. But he played the match with pain. KKR eventually lost the match to Mumbai Indians at Eden Gardens. The IPL season has been hit by injuries to key players. Mumbai Indians are missing Lasith Malinga and Lendl Simmons. Royal Challengers Bangalore are missing Aussie tear away Mitchell Starc and now it’s Hastings who will not be seen in action for Knight Riders.
