After the humiliating loss to Bengaluru FC, the Red and Gold's chances of winning the I-league shattered on Sunday. Millions of heart-broken supporters cried along as their dream came to an end. The Red and Gold gaffer took the total responsibility of East Bengal’s debacle in the I-league on his own shoulders and mailed his resignation letter to the club officials. Post Bengaluru FC match, xtratime.in had already mentioned that Biswajit will resign. Earlier, he had to hear a lot of criticism from Red and Gold supporters but he did not quit as he was waiting till the end. The way Biswajit was criticized in social media, it broke his heart  and forced him to resign. So, Biswajit quitted as East Bengal coach before the last two matches of the I-league. After taking charge as East Bengal coach, Biswajit gifted the fans with a CFL and he was unbeaten in the Kolkata derby with two wins and one draw. From today, it’s all history.
