He thinks that it could be a pressure situation for Mohun Bagan. He said,” I am not thinking about who is available or who is not available. I am thinking about ourselves.” Earlier this week Bernard Mendy has skipped the team meeting after the practice. The club has seen a player revolt as Biswajit Bhattacharya fined few players for not attending the practice. Ahead of the derby there was a positive vibe among the footballers. There is no problem regarding the French footballer. But will Mendy be left out for creating such problems? On being asked the Red and Gold gaffer didn’t replied. Mendy has practiced today. For the past couple of days East Bengal coach have been practicing him in the left back position. Red and Gold stalwart Mehtab Hossain, a veteran of 24 Kolkata Derbies is due to enter the Silver Jubilee mark. “It is simple from here, we have to win this match. Even a draw is not sufficient as this will kick us out of the title race”, said Hossain on the eve of the match. But coach Biswajit Bhattacharya has admitted that there will be a huge support for his team as Siliguri is known for its affection for East Bengal. But he denied the fact that East Bengal is in pressure as they are lagging behind from Mohun Bagan in the points table. “I am not paying heed to any kind of rumours”. He also admitted that he can’t believe that Sanjoy Sen will be not in the reserve bench. Biswajit Bhattacharya also added, “We will go for a win as it will help us to make a comeback in the league championship. Players are motivated and everyone is fit for this match. A win will put us in the title race.” The ‘home’ side, Kingfisher East Bengal will be buoyed by their valiant effort in Aizawl, on the other side of the international break where Ranti Martins produced a late hat-trick, second by him in the ongoing Hero I-League, to come back from two goals down to eventually win the game by 3-2. Mohun Bagan is topping the I-League table 25 points from 12 matches while East Bengal has 20 points from 11 matches. In the last derby the both teams drew 1-1 with Cornell Glen and Ranty Martins scoring for the respective sides. With spoils shared in the first leg in January, both teams will be desperate to make a strong statement as the Hero I-League heads into the final phase. Even 500 kilometres away from the city, still the Kolkata Derby remains a mouth-watering prospect for all football aficionados. Bikash Jairu will not be available as he suffered an injury during India’s World Cup Qualifier against Turkmenistan. Who will be replacing Jairu? Looks like coach Biswajit Bhattacharya doesn’t want to reveal the strategy of his team. Probable xi- Rehensh,Mendy,Arnab,Bello,Rahul,Mehtab,Sehnaj,Abinash,Sanju,Rafique,Ranty
