At present the current General Secretary of the club Mr. Mohd. Sohrab Ali is busy with election campaign therefor the club management invested their faith on the 26-year-old and elected to serve as Interim General Secretary of the club, vying for promotion into the I-League. “I am thankful to the club for considering me for the prestigious post. For me its more pleasure than pressure. During my collage days I have played both football and cricket seriously so like a sportsman I am ready to face any challenge that comes in front of me,” Mr. Zafar said. Zafar himself is an ardent sports lover who played both football and cricket during his academic career. It's been an absolute honor and privilege for me to become the General Secretary of such illustrious club, I know there will be a huge amount of expectations on me and I am ready to deliver my best for the benefit of this historical institution.” He added further. To became the General Secretary of any institution at such young age will definitely put a lot of pressure on anyone but Zafar has other ideas, he said “The whole world giving preference to the youth and the club is also doing the same, it's a welcome move from the management. I truly believe the one can only gain experience about something while doing it and I don't see any reasons to be concerned as there are senior officials like Mr. Sultan Ahmed, Mr. Iqbal Ahmed, Mr. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Mr. Jameel Manzar, Mr. Md. Qamaruddin and others executive committee members to guide me.” He also feels that without fan’s participation a club would never be successful, thus he urged the fans to come forward and support the team more than ever.
