Virat Kohli’s Pakistani Fan Jailed For 10 Years For Flying Indian Flag

File Pic[/caption] Internet Desk : Pakistani die-hard fan of Virat Kohli , Umar Draz who had been arrested on Tuesday has been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment for hoisting the Indian flag atop his house . The police have registered a case under section 123-A of Pakistan Penal Code and the Maintenance of Public Order against the 22-year-old Draz , hailing from the Okara district of Punjab province. He was produced before a district court on Wednesday and is now in jail on judicial remand. The section 123-A (acts of damaging the sovereignty of the country) carries a maximum punishment of 10 years in jail or fine or both. Draz pleaded before the court that he was not aware that he was committing a crime and he hadhoisted the Indian flag only for his love for Kohli. However, the judge still sent him to jail on judicial remand. Police had raided Draz’s home and arrested him on India's Republic Day when Kohli’s 55 ball 90 propelled India to a 37 runs victory in a T20 match against Australia. Posters of Kohli were also found pasted on the walls of his house.
