I-League winning star foreigner arrives at Kolkata to begin his new stint
Kolkata: Churchill Brothers' I-League winning Nigerian midfielder Kalu Ogba Nnanna has arrived in Kolkata to play the upcoming 2016/17 Calcutta Football League Premier Division – A on Wednesday evening.
The midfield maestro, who won the I-League for Churchill Brothers in 2009, was welcomed by Club’s Youth Development Vice-Chairman Jb. Hasnain Ahmed at airport.
Known for his dogged displays in the middle of the park, the play-maker joins the Black Panthers after spending the previous season at Southern Samity, where he performed well during his 13 I-League 2nd Division appearances.
“I am delighted to sign for Mohammedan Sporting Club. It’s a great club with top players and passionate fans.” said Kalu.
“I can’t wait to get started now. I believe it can be a special season for all of us and I will be working hard to produce the kind of performances that will help us achieve what we are aiming for,” he added further.
