Marcelo Pereira (Delhi Dynamos): Undoubtedly the most influential and eye-catching foreigner so far in the Season Three of the Hero Indian Super League. The Brazilian had his youth career in a club like Atletico Madrid and his captivating skills have already enthralled the fans who are watching the ISL. In his very first appearance, he scored a brace in the ISL and has scored 5 goals in the league so far in 9 appearances. A genuine game-changer, and so far has acted as a catalyst for the recent success of Zambrotta's side this season.
Apoula Edel Bete (FC Pune City): The Cameroon-born Armenia goalkeeper has the unique record of having started in two winning finals of the ISL, winning the first in 2014 with Atletico de Kolkata without conceding a single goal in 300 minutes of the playoffs. He also made a serious impact to help Chennaiyin win six of their last seven matches in the season 2, including a record five on the bounce. At the end of the season, he had six clean sheets to his name which won him the golden glove award.
Emiliano Alfaro (NorthEast United): A genuine goal-poacher. The star Uruguayan forward also played in Italian Serie A side Lazio and represented his national team once in the senior level. The South American forward has seemed to be the most lethal forward in the ISL Season three and scored 5 goals already in 7 appearances. His goal against Atletico de Kolkata is already rated to be one of the best goals of the season. Alfaro's inclusion has certainly boosted the strength of the entire NorthEast squad to help them having the best start in their ISL history.
Lucian Goian (Mumbai City FC): The Romanian centre back has been rock solid so far in Mumbai City FC defense. A genuine leader who can marshal the defense with some serious authority. His heroics in the back four has already earned him a couple of Hero of the Match awards. His commanding attitude has been the biggest bonus Mumbai has got this season.
Javi Lara Grande (Atletico de Kolkata): The Spaniard didn't have a long season due to injury in the season two but has come out with flying colours this season with some match-winning performances. A delightful ball player and holds the midfield with a lot of authority. Javi Lara's flamboyant skills have also attracted the eye-balls this season. A dead-ball specialist and arguably the best foreign midfielder of the season three so far.
