Pic Twitter.com[/caption] Internet Desk: The last remaining Indian hope at US Open ended with Sania Mirza as she lost in the quarterfinal along with her partner Barbora Strycova. They were defeated by the top seed of the grand slam Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic. It was a heartbreaking match from the world no.1 doubles player Sania. The match began in favor of the Indo-Chez pair. In the first set Sania and Barbora were leading the match by 4-1. Up 5-2, the Indo-Czech pair received two break points to close out the first set. But from that point the match went out of their hand. They lost the first by 7-6. After the lose in the first set the pair completely broke down and surrendered in the second set by losing to 6-1. It ended the run of India in this US Open as Leander Paes and Rohan Bopanna had already made their exits losing in their doubles matches. However, the day was a good one for world no.1 Novak Djokovic. He won another match by walk over in this US Open. This is the third match he received walk over from his opponent. Though he was leading the match by 2-0 till the French Jo-Wilfried Tsonga declared the walk over. Djokovic won the first two sets by 6-3 6-2. In the semi finals he will face Gael Monfils of France.
