File Pic[/caption] Internet Desk: A berth in the semi-final in the US Open Grand Prix advanced Ajay Jayaram two spots in the badminton World Ranking. Previously Jayaram was in the 22nd spot of the World Ranking. According to present update he raised in the 20th spot. The US Open Grand Prix completed last week could not provide any title for India as most of the top ranking singles and doubles players gave walk over. Only Ajay Jayaram reached the semi-final. However, he was beaten to Tsuneyama Kanta of Japan who was far behind in world ranking to him. Srikanth retained his 11th spot. Also the doubles pair of Manu Attri and Sumeeth B. Reddy retained in 21st spot. Women singles players also are on their same spots. Saina Nehwal in 5th and P.V. Sindhu in 10th spot of world ranking who are India’s Rio bound women shuttlers. The ranking of the women’s doubles players Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa also retained in 21st spot.
