File Pic[/caption] Kolkata: Much awaited striker of Mohun Bagan Darryl Duffy is to land in the city on 17th July. Duffy will join training the very next day and will play from the beginning of the CFL. With the inclusion of Duffy Mohun Bagan will have their full squad ahead of the CFL. Mohun Bagan club started physical training in a new format under physical trainer Garcia today after they started their pre-season training last Wednesday. Previously Mohun Bagan players used to train after bip-test to prove their fitness. This year Garcia started soccer-test other than of bip-test. According to Garcia, “Soccer-test is much more effective test for the footballers. This is the most modern kind of fitness test. This process is implemented in Brazil.“ About the success of previous year Garcia praised the team spirit. He said, ”The success which Mohun Bagan achieved last year is not only my credit. That is the outcome of the team effort.” Garcia reached the city yesterday and trained the Mohun Bagan players from today. However, he did not want to comment about his preference for Mohun Bagan in-spite of offer from East Bengal. He only said, “I have a contract with Mohun Bagan for the next two years. After 2017 I will be free. Then I can comment over this.“ Today head coach of the team Sanjoy Sen praised coach of CFL Shankarlal Chakraborty. He said, “He is doing well. I never played any derby. But he played. So it will be easy for him to understand the heat of the derby." Regarding playing practice matches and not residential camp, the gaffer said, "We did not attend any residential camp for the last couple of years but still we had results and we will definitely play practice matches."
