File Pic[/caption] Internet Desk: Salman Khan's recent 'rape' comment has cost him a lot. In a recent interview, Salman had blurted out, "When I used to walk out of the ring after the Sultan shoot (where he plays the role of a wrestler), I used to feel like a raped woman. I couldn't walk straight." Well, this statement has caused a lot of turmoil and might apparently cost the Dabangg Khan his 'Goodwill Ambassador for the Rio Olympics' tag.

Indian Olympic Association's (IOA) joint secretary Rakesh Gupta gave a statement to a popular daily stating, "His (Salman's) comments as goodwill ambassador would send a wrong message to all the sportspersons in the country. He shouldn't have used this analogy to describe his shooting schedule. He should have given a different answer or cited some other example. This way he has hurt the image of Indian sports. This statement will have an adverse effect with the Rio Olympics fast approaching. He should immediately apologize for his remark."
Apparently, Rakesh has been trying to contact Salman to discuss the matters further. But, he couldn't get through Salman, who has travelled to Spain to perform at a popular awards show.
Reportedly, Salman's name has already been dropped off from the list of invitees for the send-off ceremony to be held in the third week of July. Other Goodwill Ambassadors - music director AR Rahman and legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar  - will however be attending the ceremony as planned.
