Saurashis, last represented for Bengal in the 2014-15 Ranji Trophy season in the last group stage match against Madhya Pradesh where he played a match saving knock of 48* which helped Bengal save relegation. According to Saurashis, " I have represented Bengal for the last 15-16 years in all formats. During the beginning of my career Utpal Chatterjee was my mentor. Besides that Laxmi, Manoj Tiwary and Dada ( Sourav Ganguly) has always helped me in all situations. But there is an end to everything. I don't want to block any junior's selection by grabbing a position unnecessarily. I strongly believe that Bengal's next spin battery is ready."
