Image Source: File Pic[/caption] Kolkata: There is no guarantee on Bengal's performance in the 2016-17 season but CAB President, Sourav Ganguly has already slated his plans for the Bengal team. Regarding this issue Sourav had a meeting with the coach of the Bengal Ranji team, Sairaj Bahutule at the CAB. he flew away from Mumbai to set up a blue-print for the next season. Last year, Bengal cricket team visited Sri Lanka to play few practice matches after Muttiah Muralitharan organised those practice matches. Manoj Tiwary, Laxmi Ratan Shukla and Ashoke Dinda perforemd well there in Lanka and it boosted their confidence for the Ranji Trophy. This time  too Sourav and Sairaj both are wanting a similar practice tournament in Sri Lanka and regarding this issue the CAB President had a round of discussion with Muttiah Muralitharan. Sairaj said," Last time playing the practice matches in Sri Lanka, it helped the players grow in confidence and experience them. If the players play in some different conditions it will benefit them and help them get more aggressive." Besides this, CAB is also planning to send Bengal team to play in the K.S.C.A tournament in Bengaluru. Sairaj feels that playing these kind of tournaments is the best way to get ready for the season. Meanwhile, Sairaj will be coming back to Kolkata after the IPL gets over. But he will present during the Super League matches of the CAB under lights in pink ball. He has also hinted that those players who will perform well in the Super league will have the best chance to make it to the Bengal squad.
