Xtra Time Web Desk: Indian batsman Virat Kohli looked back to the year 2021, spoke about Team India's performance in international cricket.

Team India started off this year winning in Gabba and ended it winning a historic win in Centurion on December 30. India made victory in the history of cricket by beating Australia by three wickets, in Gabba and because the first ever cricket team to breach fortress since 1988. Along with this, India retained Border- Gavaskar trophy for the two consecutive years.

Team India took its flight to England and claimed two victories at the iconic Lord's and the Oval before COVID-19 outbreak, stuck the match in the middle and postponed the finals in 2022. Towards the end of the year, Virat and his team travelled to South Africa, and made an iconic Test win in Centurion, becoming the first ever Asian country to clinch victory in Centurion.

"New Year is a very good time to look back and analyse how you played your cricket. And I think we played some outstanding cricket, not just this year, but over the last two three years, especially overseas. We are a side who are getting better and gaining more confidence with how much cricket we play. It feels amazing to be 1-0 up. Sets up wonderfully for the Wanderers," Kohli said on BCCI.tv.
