ICC Test Rankings: Ravichandran Ashwin moves up to the No.2 spot among all-rounders; Jadeja slipped to fourth
Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India off spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has climbed to No 2 spot in the latest ICC Test Rankings for all-rounders. Ashwin had a successful outing in the recently concluded test series against New Zealand where he picked 14 wickets. West Indian Jason Holder leads the table.
Ashwin is followed by England all-rounder Ben Stokes. Ravindra Jadeja has slipped to two spots to be on 4th spot. Shakib Al Hasan has kept his place in No 5 spot in the table.
India opener Mayank Agarwal have made huge progress in the Test Player Rankings after outstanding performances in the recently concluded second Test against New Zealand at Mumbai.
Agarwal scored 150 and 62 in both innings which has helped him gain 30 spots and reach 11th position in the latest weekly update to the men’s rankings which is carried out on Wednesdays and includes all matches ending on Tuesdays. He is just one spot below a career-best 10th position that he first attained in November 2019.
Others to move up in the rankings after the Mumbai Test are India opener Shubman Gill (up 21 places to 45th) and fast bowler Mohammad Siraj (up four places to 41st)
