XtraTime Web Desk: All the cricketers participating in the upcoming 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) are likely to undergo mandatory a 4 step COVID-19 tests. This will also apply to all the support staffs, management, broadcasters and stakeholders. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning to create a Bio-Bubble similar to what we witnessed during the recently concluded test series between England and West Indies. The England & Wales Cricket Board had created a Bio-Bubble in both venues – Southampton and Manchester.

The players and support staffs will have to follow the strict guidelines as they enter the Bio-Bubble. The multiple COVID-19 tests are part of precautionary measures. It will apply to both Indian and foreign cricketers. The players and franchise members will have to undergo a minimum 2 COVID-19 tests before being allowed to board the flight to UAE. They have to undergo 2 more tests on reaching UAE. Once the reports come negative, they will be allowed to move out of the Quarantine facility.

The matter will come up for discussion during the IPL Governing Council meeting on Sunday. Here are the few health protocols that are likely to be followed by the cricketers and support staffs once they enter the Bio-Bubble:

Franchises will have to organize chartered flights

Minimum numbers of players to be allowed in the Dressing Room

Wives and wags will not be allowed to stay in the same hotel

All the teams will be kept in one or two hotels

Players will strictly not allowed to venture out in the open

No one will be allowed to breach the bubble
