XtraTime Web Desk: After Gautam Gambhir it’s the turn of Harbhajan Singh to hit back at former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi for his controversial remarks against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The former Pakistan captain has been in news for his controversial comments against India during a recent visit to Pakistan occupied Kashmir to distribute food for the needy during the coronavirus pandemic.

As expected Afridi’s remarks has not gone down well with the Indian people. Social media site twitter has been flooded with anti comments about Afridi.

Former India cricketers Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh also found themselves in the line of fire, for extending help to Shahid Afridi Foundation in its fight against Coronavirus. Both the cricketers extended their support towards Afridi for the purpose of humanity.

In an interview to Sports Tak, an upset Harbhajan said he wish to severe all ties with the Pak cricketer with immediate effect.

"One person asks me to make an appeal for the sake of humanity, and I did my bit. That was it. I have no relation or tie-up with any Shahid Afridi from here on," said Harbhajan.

The Turbanator found it very upsetting to see such a comment coming from Afridi.

According to Harbhajan, "This is very upsetting what Shahid Afridi has come up with, talking ill about our country and our Prime Minister. This is just not acceptable."

The lanky off-spinner said it was a good gesture on their part to respond to the request of Afridi who was doing a good work with his foundation in this tough time. Harbhajan feels Afridi has crossed his limit with his outburst at PoK.

"To be honest, he (Afridi) asked us to make an appeal for his charity. In good faith, we did it for humanity and for the people suffering due to the Coronavirus.”

He added, "Even our Prime Minister has said that Coronavirus is a fight that extends beyond borders, religions and caste. So we were very clear with the cause that we were promoting, which was simply to help those in crisis.
"But this man (Afridi) is talking ill about our country. All I have to say is we have nothing to do with Shahid Afridi. He has no right to speak ill against our country and he should stay in his country and limits," said Harbhajan.
