XtraTime Web Desk: Cricket has seen international series postponed, the Indian Premier League put on hold and the T20 World Cup in Australia thrown into doubt by the coronavirus pandemic. The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday has already stated that it has called for a Chief Executives' Committee (CEC) meeting via conference call on April 23. It said that the meeting will help them to interact with the CEOs of all the members nations and that would help in discussing the impact of coronavirus pandemic on the sport. Talking about the meeting, ICC Chief Executive Manu Sawhney said that CEC will discuss on the rescheduling of the postponed series and and the need for collectively reviewing the FTP through to 2023 as well as the World Test Championship and Cricket World Cup Super League. Beside that some other things will also be discussed during the meeting. It has been learnt that the International Cricket Council (ICC) will enforce new laws due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. It has been decided to enforce strict rules to ensure hygiene is kept to a maximum when playing a game of cricket. That’s why the parent body of World Cricket (ICC) are bringing some rules to guarantee a reduction in the spreading of disease and viruses from player to player. Here are the rules given below: #The act of ‘spitting’ saliva on the cricket ground is prohibited as the virus can infect any other player by this. #Using saliva to shine the cricket ball is prohibited. #Using sweat to shine the cricket ball is prohibited. #Using teammates cricket gears is not recommended. #Physical contact between players is not recommended.
