In many matches he had single handedly took his team to win in each format of the game. In his prolonged career the master blaster has scored 18426 runs in 463 ODI matches, 15921 runs in 200 Test matches and 10 runs in his only T20I match. But the god of cricket has had also faced many failures in his career as well and among them some were also the collective failure of the team as well. Now we will discuss about the 3 failures of Sachin Tendulkar at the ICC events in his massive career: Australia vs India, Johannesburg, 2003 World Cup Final Indian cricket team was on a role in that World Cup where they reached the final with just one defeat in the tournament. India vs Bangladesh, Port of Spain, 2007 World Cup group stage The 2007 World Cup in West Indies was a horror show of Team India. Many had thought that the 2003 World Cup finalist India would easily beat Bangladesh in their opening game at Port of Spain. India vs Sri Lanka, Mumbai, 2011 World Cup Final It was another final for Team India and this time neighbours Sri Lanka who were in front of them. It was Sachin’s home ground Wankhede & his sixth and final World Cup as well. Sri Lanka batted first and posted 274 runs on board in 50 overs. While chasing Tendulkar again failed at the grandest stage of all and got out on 18 runs. It was Gambhir’s 97 & skipper MS Dhoni’s 91 which helped India to lift their second World Cup after 28 long years.
