In the final they again faced Australia and it was Sachin’s fourth World Cup. Tendulkar looked really hungry to win the Cup there, but after winning the toss skipper Sourav Ganguly took a surprising decision to bowl first on a batting paradise. Australian team hammered the Indian bowlers in all parts of the ground to post a mammoth of a total of 359 runs on board. While chasing 360 runs to win the whole nation was counting on Sachin to score big, but Sachin failed miserably in the final where he scored just 4 runs in five deliveries and got out to Glenn McGrath. After playing so many classy knocks throughout the tournament the master blaster failed in the final. Later India lost that match by 125 runs. India vs Bangladesh, Port of Spain, 2007 World Cup group stage The 2007 World Cup in West Indies was a horror show of Team India. Many had thought that the 2003 World Cup finalist India would easily beat Bangladesh in their opening game at Port of Spain. But surprising everyone Indian batting line-up shattered like a pack of cards. They lost wickets at regular intervals and Tendulkar made just 7 off 26 deliveries. Eventually, India was bundled out for a scant 191. The Bangladesh team ensured that they suffered no hiccups and finished the match with 5 wickets in hand. India vs Sri Lanka, Mumbai, 2011 World Cup Final It was another final for Team India and this time neighbours Sri Lanka who were in front of them.
