XtraTime Web Desk: Mumbai Indians all-rounder Kieron Pollard has been roped in as the marquee player by Trinbago Knight Riders for the 2019 season of Caribbean Premier League (CPL). It will be a homecoming for the big Trinidadian who represented Barbados Tridents from 2013-2017 and St Lucia Stars in 2018. This will be the first time Pollard will be representing his home franchise. Making the announcement, Venky Mysore, Director of Tobago Knight Riders said, “We are delighted to welcome Pollard back home and its great to continue our efforts to bring as many Trini boys home as possible. I can’t wait for the reaction of the fans when Pollard takes the field at our opening game on 4 September.” Pollard will be hoping to help TKR add to the three championships they have won in the last four tournaments in 2015, 2017 & 2018. Pollard has played in 474 T20 matches so brings a vast amount of experience to the Knight Riders squad, from CPL and from tournaments around the world. The rest of the Trinbago Knight Riders squad will be decided at the Hero CPL Players Draft, which takes place on 22 May 2019.
