XtraTime Web Desk: Pakistan cricket team captain Sarfraz Ahmed is pretty much disappointed that cricket ties between India and Pakistan after the devastating Pulwama terrorist attack which claimed the lives of 44 CRPF jawans last week in Kashmir. "The India and Pakistan match should be played as per schedule as there are millions of people who want to watch this game. I just don't think cricket should be targeted for political gains," Sarfaraz told the CricketPakistan.com.pk. "It is disappointing to see cricket being targeted after the Pulwama incident. I don't recall Pakistan ever mixing sports with politics. Sports should just be taken as sports." Discussions on boycotting the Pakistan clash rose in the wake of the Pulwama attack. In fact, veterans like Sourav Ganguly, Harbhajan Singh and Mohammad Azharuddin have voiced their opinion in favour of the boycott shouts. However, legends Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar want India to play the match and beat Pakistan in the match. Indian skipper Virat Kohli is yet to speak on the issue, while head coach Ravi Shastri told Mirror Now on Friday, "It’s entirely left to the BCCI and the government. They know exactly what is happening and they will take a call. We will go by what they decide." BCCI and the Committee of Administrators had met on Friday to decide on cricketing ties with Pakistan. They failed to come to a conclusion on the World Cup clash and hence left the decision to the government to reveal the fate.
